Following government guidelines, The Chazuka School has temporarily closed due to COVID-19. Fortunately, Malawi hasn’t yet registered a single case of coronavirus.
Although school closures might seem pre-emptive we must remember that the economic and health systems in Malawi are very different to Europe and therefore Malawi’s response will also be different.
We are doing everything we can to make sure these happy smiling faces are supported during this global crisis.
As we speak, we are drafting plans with our our staff and partner NGOs on the ground to redirect funds to support the emergency community response and we will announce this as soon as possible.
